Jim Ramo
CEO - Movielink
Jim Ramo is the CEO of Movielink, the video-on-demand online distribution service formed as a joint venture between Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. Mr. Ramo has more than 25 years experience in the delivery of entertainment and related services, including seven years at DIRECTV, where he was a primary founder and executive vice-president of DIRECTV, the industry-leading DBS company.
Most recently, Mr. Ramo was a former consultant at Shelter Ventures, LLC. In addition, he spent three years as COO of TVN Entertainment and CEO of Geocast Network Systems. Prior to this, he was vice president of Hughes Communications, a vice president at Times Mirror Cable Television, and a director of finance at CBS Television.
Mr. Ramo has a MS degree from London School of Economics and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
