Jeremy Sauter, former Senior Vice President and head of creative marketing at Paramount Studios, recently discussed creative advertising and marketing with the Introduction to Entertainment Management class. Jeremy explained the importance of creating a unique, yet effective marketing and its effect on a film's success at the box office. He also detailed the process of creating and implementing a campaign for a film, and how it has changed given recent economic conditions. Jeremy went over poster design, slogans, trailers, toys, and many other factors that are all part of advertising for a film. Students were also give the opportunity to attend a special session with Jeremy, and ask him additional questions about advertising for films.
